Graz

Graz is the second largest city in Austria. Its ‘Old Town’ is one of the best-preserved city centres in Central Europe.  In 2003 it held the title European Capital of Culture It is situated on the River Mur and the Schlossberg (a castle on a hill) dominates the Old Town. There are plenty of sights to see in Graz, including many museums, a Theatre, and the Opera House. Due to its importance as a university city (there are six), Graz has a vibrant nightlife.
