Close House Hotel and Golf course
One of the best golf courses in the area. A four star hotel attached to this very scenic and well laid out course. There are stunning views of the River Tyne. The course was built in 1964 and recently underwent a massive redevelopment. This has culminated in hosting a 2007 PGA event. A challenge for golfers of all levels.
