Football in 3D.
Football is one of the world’s most watched sports and is certainly the most watched sport in Britain. With the creation of HD television in the last couple of years, watching football has become much more enjoyable as you can see each detail much more clearly! Having subscribed the full HD package I was really excited to see that Sky have decided to introduce 3D to some football games this season.
3D was first used years ago and although it was used for certain things like shows at theme parks. After the success of the movie Avatar with it surpassing Titanic as the most successful movie of all time with takings of £1.14 Billion, sky are launching a 3D channel in the Autumn. What is exciting about this apart from the obvious is that it will be available at no extra cost to those customers who already have the HD package and of course an HD TV. Later in the year you and me will be able to watch some of the best sports programming available, movies as well as other types of entertainment. The problem with this however is that you will need a 3D television to watch this channel.
One of the best and most exciting items to be shown in the forthcoming months is the FIFA World Cup. There will be 25 games shown and I for one am really excited about seeing some of the games. Even if I do have to wear some silly glasses while having a pint or two!
