About Bucharest

Bucharest

This hugely-changing capital has a great mix of reassuringly expensive hotels and cheap, fun nightlife. However for the gay and lesbian traveller there are very few places to go. Only two reputable gay bars which we have listed. Romania does have a gay pride parade (Gayfest) in May which is worth catching. Attitudes to gays are not all that tolorant though when your out and about in the evenings, so just beware.

All the other venues we have listed are all straight, but we have listed the best places to stay, eat and drink.
