About Toronto

Toronto

Toronto is the provincial capital of Ontario. It’s located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of gorgeous Lake Ontario. It’s Canada’s largest and most dynamic city. If you like living large, Toronto is your kind of town. Home to over 100 different cultures, the city represents the epitome of diversity, not to mention amazing ethnic restaurants. Explore world renowned museums and attractions, dynamic neighbourhoods, the amazing waterfront and magnificent architecture. If you have a craving for something – from the ordinary to the exotic – you’re sure to find it here!

Ontario was the first in Canada to legalise same-sex marriage. Toronto’s has North America’s 3rd largest gay community. The world-renowned Gay Village thrives around the intersection of Church and Wellesley Streets. An area pulsing with energy, the Village is famous for gay dance parties, trendy bars, restaurants, and one-of-a-kind gay orientated boutiques. Food lovers come for the tempting menus, while people watchers enjoy the sumptuous summer patio views. Feel free to hold hands as you walk along the streets. Venture from the city’s core and take in some of Toronto’s other flourishing GLBT communities. Located in the city’s west end, Queer West Village is hip and youthful with a “live and let love” atmosphere where people of every stripe come to meet, mix and, of course, love. To the east, Leslieville, with its vegan restaurants and excellent thrift stores, is very popular with the ladies.

All hotels, bars and restaurants are either gay owned and run, or gay-friendly.
